WELCOME TO BROWN DEER MIDDLE SCHOOL!
I am so excited to be serving the Brown Deer Community as Principal of Brown Deer Middle School! In August of 2019, we moved into our newly constructed learning spaces and welcomed 6th grade into our school. We have a caring and dynamic team of educators dedicated to working in middle level education with our students.
This year marks my 5th year in Brown Deer and my 25th year in education. I was hired in 2015 as a Literacy Coach and was promoted to Assistant Principal in 2017 where I have been incredibly fortunate to learn and grow with our incredible Middle High School and district leadership teams. My previous roles in education have been as a middle and high school English teacher, a Literacy Coach and district level instructional specialist and professional developer in the Grafton and South Milwaukee school districts.
I have earned a B.S. in English/Education from Carroll College, an M.A. from Cardinal Stritch University’s College of Education and Leadership, and have earned my Administrator and Curriculum Director licenses.
Brown Deer is an incredible school district in a wonderfully diverse community. Our school is dedicated to GREAT-ness, by Growing Relationships that Ensure Achievement Together. We believe in educating students in scholarship as well as citizenship, in nurturing our students personal and academic development, to INSPIRE our students to learn about the world, so they can be LEADERS in the world.
