BDE's Counselor's Corner
The School Counselor plays a pivotal role in enhancing students' academic performance, self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and career readiness. Catering to students from K4 through grade 12, the School Counselor at Brown Deer Elementary School, Mr. Dave Miller, aims to foster academic, social, and emotional success. Students can access individual counseling services for social and emotional support, addressing issues like bullying, peer relationships, conflict resolution, study skills, and external distractions impacting their school performance. Additionally, serving as the primary academic scheduler for Grades K4 - 5, Mr. Miller is available to address questions regarding student schedules or other concerns.
What is ACP?
ACP stands for Academic and Career Planning, and it is a K-12 initiative to help prepare students for their futures. To find out more information on what that looks like at an elementary level check out the BDE ACP page which can be found here!
