Please welcome Mr. Damion Woods, Sr. as Brown Deer High School's interim assistant principal. Mr. Woods comes to Brown Deer School District with over 20 years of educational experience. He has served students, families, staff, and communities in K8 charter schools, traditional high schools, as well as alternative school programs in roles such as teacher, assistant principal, and assistant program director. Mr. Woods was born and raised in Milwaukee and attended Milwaukee Public Schools. His collegiate education was achieved at Rainy River Community College (International Falls, MN), Bemidji State University, (Bemidji, MN), and National Louis University (Wheeling, IL). During his tenure at those educational institutions, he received his liberal arts degree, associate's degree, and his master’s degree. His goal is to ensure that our Brown Deer students are college and career ready for post-secondary experiences, whether it be at a two year or four year college or university, workforce, apprenticeships, internships, etc. When he is not interacting with students, he is enjoying time with his family watching and/or participating in sports, or completing small household projects. Mr. Woods will strive to have positive impacts on the lives of our students by supporting, guiding, and assisting them to be successful, productive citizens in society
