Brown Deer High School has a new Principal, Ms. Chvala Brown. Ms. Brown comes to the Brown Deer School District with over 20 years of experience in education. She has supported students, teachers, staff and families in surrounding urban and suburban districts serving in both instructional and administrative capacities.
Ms. Brown is a Milwaukee native and a product of the Chapter 220 Program. Her collegiate education was achieved at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During her tenure at UWM, she acquired a BS, MA, Principal and Teacher Certification and a Director of Instruction License. Her passion is student achievement and the art of teaching. Her goal is to ensure that Brown Deer students achieve a high proficiency level and prepare high school students for multiple post-secondary opportunities. She also served in the United States Army Reserve for 10 years.
When Ms. Brown is not actively helping students, she is fostering the love of learning with her children, Harper Savannah ( and Harlow Alizabeth (2).
Ms. Brown will strive to make Brown Deer High School the first and only choice for families. Together teachers, staff and families will collaborate to make Brown Deer High School the best high school in the state. Ms. Brown’s philosophy is, “When we work together, anything is possible.”
