Communicating openly with our families is an integral part of building a positive school community. At Brown Deer Elementary we work to keep our communication accurate, timely, inclusive, and transparent with parents/guardian, staff and students. There are many different ways members of our school community can stay up-to-date with what is happening inside of our school. ParentSquare, school newsletters, and social media are our primary forms of communication.
ParentSquare
ParentSquare is a new communication tool being brought into the district in 2025! This platform is a one-stop-shop for parents/guardians to learn about all that's happening inside of their student's school, classroom or the district. Guardians will be able to customize their feed to view district posts, posts from their student's teachers, coaches, or any other special interests groups. This platform will help prevent misinformation and confusion, along with promoting centralized communication. Resources on how to log-in and use the platform will be shared with families prior to the start of the school year. ParentSqaure is available as a mobile app or online site.

School Newsletters
Brown Deer Elementary is always full of activities! It can be hard to keep up with everything happening inside of your student's school, and that is why we have school newsletters! Newsletters will be where you can find all the important upcoming dates, school/classroom reminders, read stories from inside the school, and learn about different activities.

You can always see what the School District of Brown Deer is up to on social media! Our social pages are a great way to see classroom action shots, field-trip photos, game-day snapshots, and everything else Brown Deer.

Did you know the Village of Brown Deer has a weekly digital newsletter? Every week the district contributes exclusive content to share with our external community via the village newsletter! Not only can we promote our events, but we can provide a more in-depth look into our schools and their activities.
